Our bus will pick you up at your hotel (pickups possible from Playa Blanca, Puerto del Carmen and Costa Teguise) and take you to Playa Blanca, where you will catch our ferry. After half an hour of travel, you will arrive in Corralejo, change boats and head to Isla de Lobos. To go to Lobos we leave from Corralejo (Fuerteventura), and we cross the arm of the sea that separates us from the islet, called El Río, until we reach the interior lagoons in the south of the Isla de Lobos. We will disembark at El Muelle, to enjoy the islet, walking along its paths or resting in the calm waters of La Concha beach. We recommend snorkeling in this Natural Park, where you can enjoy great marine fauna and totally crystal clear waters. At the scheduled time we will return from El Muelle to the port of Corralejo, from where we will take the ferry back to Lanzarote at 5:30 p.m.
WOLVES ISLAND
It is a small islet of about 4.5 km² located to the northeast of the island of Fuerteventura. They are separated by the Bocaina Strait, whose depth does not exceed 30 meters. The island can be clearly seen from Corralejo. Its name comes from the fact that Mediterranean monk or friar seals (also known as sea lions) lived on the island in the past, now in danger of extinction. The fishermen eliminated the species, since they thought that its voracity reduced the marine resources of the area. Each of these animals needs between 30 and 40 kg of fish per day. Efforts to reintroduce sea lions are underway, despite the refusal of the fishermen.
La Concha beach in Lobos. It is protected and forms the Islote de Lobos Natural Park. It is home to more than 130 plant species and various bird species, including the herring gull, the great bustard (at certain times of the year) and the Cinderella shearwater. The sea beds are a submarine reserve area and contain great ecological wealth. Its maximum height is in La Caldera, 127 m.
The capacity allowed on the island is controlled and limited by the authorities; book as far in advance as possible so as not to run out of places. Authorisation to travel is required.
